February kit creations,"With Love" with Tracey G.

Hi there! Tracey G. here!
Today I wanted to share my creations made with the gorgeous ScrapThat! February Kit, "With Love." I love Prima and this kit is so perfectly co-ordinated, it almosts scraps itself!

First up is my layout made using only the goodies in the Main Kit:

I started by fussy cutting out the center of the top layer and backing it with cardboard for depth. I wanted a shadowbox effect. I fussy cut postcards and flowers and finally added my daughter herself !

I received a Cuttlebug for Christmas and I am having so much fun with it! I made these butterflies with the Tim Holtz die and I have posted a tutorial on Feb 6 on how I created these with an antiqued look.

My next layout uses the Main kit and all the Add-Ons and  Amaryllis' February sketch:
I wanted to create a pinup board feel, with lots of goodies and mementos tucked away.
I searched for my eyelets-haven't used those little guys in awhile but was inspired by a LO in Scrap365. The ribbon is included in the Main Kit.

I water distressed the edges and tucked in cut away sections of the Main Kit's doily. I backed the entire eyeletted (is that a word?) section with cardboard to give it depth and make the foundation secures enough for the layers of items tucked in and hot glued in place.

How seriously darling are these angels from the Embellishment Add-on? I love how it almost
mimics my daughter's pose.
Using my Cuttlebug again, I embossed the Bare Basics hearts and the photo mat. Using Gold Rub n' Buff, I antiqued the highlighted areas for more dimension and a little shine ! The Kaisercraft wooden hearts were antiqued and hit with patina.

Now that I made these gloriously girly layouts, and used almost all my flowers up, I wanted to try for a neutral pallate.

I created the flowers and leaves using the cardstock from the main kit with  Sizzix dies and embossed all the Bare Basics hearts with different patterns. This was my first time using these products and I was impressed by the quality and versatility of them. The alpha and doily are from my stash. I gloriously gessoed and misted and had some inky fun with this one. The pic is my Hubs and I while we were still dating-10 years ago!

Thanks for checking out my layouts and hope you will take advantage of all the ways to use this gorgeous kit! Can't wait to see what you create!
