We recently held a Design Team call in search
of a Sketch Artist and Video Coordinator and we received some truly talented
submissions.
A HUGE thank
you to everyone who applied!!
It was most
difficult to choose from all these talented applications, however, we were able
to narrow it down and chose an additional three Designers that we feel will
complement the ScrapThat! Design Team
We are
thrilled to introduce you to the newest members of the ScrapThat! Design
Team:
Amarilys Doria - Sketch Artist
Amarilys's Scrappy Corner
My name is Amarilys and I live in Orlando, FL with my husband and my dog. I've been married for 3 years now and I'm still working on my wedding/honeymoon album. I have been scrapbooking since 2003 and have been served on design teams and as a guest designer. My style has been described as Shabby Chic since I distress everything and use flowers on anything and everything. I also love to make my own embellishments, especially flowers, and I love to share how to make them too! When I am not scrapping, I enjoy being outdoors. I love to go kayaking, hiking and just being outdoors. I'm very exited to be Scrap That!'s sketch designer as I love to make and use sketches!
Alissa Wells - Video Coordinator
Will Run for Stamps
I teach elementary music in Houston, TX and my down time is filled with running, crafting, and my little boy. He is a little crafter (and a musician... and a runner) and you might see snippets his crafty process on my blog or in my videos. I like for him to feel included! I was raised in Kentucky and I love to use music in my videos that remind me of my ol' Kentucky home.
Sandi Clarkson
The Soft Side Of Sandi
Hi, My name is Sandi Clarkson. I'm married to a wonderfully scrap-supportive guy named Dan and we live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the great state of Texas. We have 3 grown daughters, 3 great SILs and 16 wonderful blended grandkids! Yep, sixteen. I work part-time as an Audiologist in the medical field but scrapbook the rest of the time! At least, that is what my family says! Although I have been a crafter of some sort all my adult life, my SIL introduced me to this hobby about 5 years and I fell in love! It is truly my passion and I enjoy every minute of it! Give me paper and some photos, and I'm in heaven!
Marilyn Rivera
Hi!! I'm Marilyn Rivera and I live in Puerto
Rico a Tropical island in the Caribbean with my husband
Israel and my two teenagers Alexander and Paola
Sofia. I'm a Fashion Designer so during the day I'm surrounded by fabrics,
sewing machines, threads and dress forms and when I'm not playing with fabrics,
it's with papers...I love to create! In my pages you will see a lot of
techniques that I made in my work(dresses) like a pleat or a draping. I love
mixing papers with fabrics, lace, feathers and pearls . I started in this hobby
4 years ago and I Loved it immediately, It's a therapy for
me!
Helen Tilbury
Scrap Addict
Hello there! My name is Helen Tilbury & I live in Durban, South Africa. I have a wonderful husband – we’ve been married forever – and 4 great kids – 2 boys and 2 girls, and 3 cats! I started scrapbooking “officially” 8 years ago, but before that I tried every other creative pursuit on the planet, so was really relieved to find the perfect ‘fit’ for my artistic desires. I love scrapbooking because it’s “functional art”, not just purely aesthetic, and also because of the portability of it – wherever I end up in this world my albums will be coming along with me J
I don’t like to define my style too rigidly or put myself “in a box.” I design according to the product I like (which is very varied) as well as the subject and theme of my page, but I do love me a bit of shabby (with a modern twist though – nothing too heavy and overworked) as well as some yummy mixed-media play. I love white space but also layering so I tend to cluster my elements in areas on my layouts, leaving others clean.
My online blogging journey started 3.5 years ago and has been a wild ride! I have learnt so much from other scrapbookers the world over, more than I ever did in any class or workshop I have ever taken, and formed some fantastic friendships along the way. I have been published a few times although I really need to submit more often (I am always too excited to get the next project started!) & have been on lots of different design teams over the last 2.5 years.
When I’m not crafting or on my computer uploading and blogging I am with my kids, being a mom, helping them with their homework and getting them to their activities, cheering them on and watching movies together! Oh!! And I love to take photographs and work out a little every day too J
