ScrapThat! July Creations by Sandi Smith

Hi Everyone...Sandi here today to share my creations with the BEAUTIFUL ScrapThat! July Kit. This kit features the gorgeous Organic collection from Fabscraps.
Here's What I created with this amazing kit.  My first layout is of my girl and me on Mother's Day this year and it is based on Amy's beautiful sketch.

Be sure to join in our monthly sketch challenge using this beautiful sketch.
I made the largest flower in the cluster with the lace and button included in the kit and I will be posting a tutorial a little later this month.I made the circle by punching circles and folding it around a smaller square in contrasting paper. Here is a close up:

My next layout is of my son and was taken during our little fishing trip on Victoria Day weekend. Another masculine layout that I struggled with...lol. I have been watching tutorial videos by Julie Winks and Stacey Young at Miss Arts...the talent these ladies have is out of this world! Loved watching how they create those stunning layouts!  I did some tearing and applied LOTS of gesso and texture paste.

My last layout I am sharing is my favorite this month. It's my Mom when she was a little girl...wasn't she a cutie. I used some gorgeous FWAB bling from my stash because it was such a perfect match! I also made some roses from papers in the kit...you can find the tutorial here. I. also altered some of the flowers in the kit with Glimmer Mist
And a couple more close ups:

You can purchase this beautiful Kit here and be sure to drop by on Friday, July 6th for the ScrapThat  Garden Party Online Crop...hope to see you there!
